I am going to be honest, even though this product has great reviews I was very skeptical about if it would work or not. How could a product that costs a fraction of what laser hair removal at a spa costs work just as well? However, I have been proven wrong - this product is AMAZING. I have used the device for about four weeks now on my legs and armpits. My legs have barely any hair growing back now and the hair that is growing is much thinner now and barely visible! I bought this about 2 months ago and have done about 5 treatments to all the areas I am targeting. In those areas the hair growth is much slower, and the hair feels much softer from becoming thinner. My body hair was very thick and felt very rough like Velcro the very next day. Directly after shaving it would still feel rugged. Only 6 or so hours after shaving the hair would be growing back and feeling very rugged and painful on the legs and bikini area and very unpleasant to the touch and appearance. I could only shave my legs ever 5 days due to the pain of the thick hair being cut, and it’s growing. I had to shave very slowly on my legs and bikini area because the hair follicles will bleed from the thick hair being cut. It didn’t matter how slow I went or what shaving products I used, at least some follicles will be bleeding on the lower legs and bikini. NOW… wow huge difference. Takes days for the hair to start growing back, it is growing sparsely or in patches rather than all over an area, and it’s thinner and no longer painful to shave. I am already seeing areas where hair has fallen out. Basically, random little spots look like there is no hair root under the skin anymore. I am hoping to see more of that soon but so far, great progress.

I was not sure about this product when I ordered it, but with the return policy being very liberal., I decided to try it. Don't laugh, but I was most concerned about my long arm hair. I did not really think you should shave arm hair or use a depilatory. (Of course, I did have to shave in order to use the device). It was very easy to use and created no discomfort. The light is very bright, so you should use the sunglasses. I have had hair on my face from a medical condition. I used to pluck for 15 minutes every day. Then I decided to go to Ideal Image for "permanent" hair removal which cost around $2000. In order for this to work you needed to shave instead of pluck. After 1.5 years of going, my hair was gone. 6 months later, a few hairs came back here and there. Retouch cost $75. I was disappointed as I needed two retouches. Then I purchased this. It is a slow process to remove hair. I am now using this unit 4 times per week. My stub would return in evening. Now after two months stub is now in am. The newer hairs disappear with a couple of treatments. patience and consistency is important. No plucking. The longer the hair is around, the more time it will take to eliminate. plucking makes root stronger and will take longer to remove. Good luck!

Update: I've used this for a solid 4 weeks as instructed and have noticed a real reduction in hair growth. It's hard to tell unless you let it grow out again but the hair definitely grows back slower and sparser and softer. I've gotten the level all the way to 9 at this point and it never really hurts. In very sensitive spots it'll just feel like you've touched a hot light bulb. Every once in a while there will be a sharp zap on an extra sensitive spot that hurts a little but it is gone immediately.
My only complaint is that I have already gone through 1000 pulses. So this machine will only last so long. Enough for initial treatment and then maintenance for a while but I can see having to buy another at some point.
Original review: I've had this thing and have been using it as instructed for about 2 weeks. It seems to be working as other people have said. My hair seems to be growing back a little bit slower and finer. I'm going to stick it out and try to remember to update after the full course. It's probably also worth a mention that I have "ideal" hair for this. Very dark brown hair on fair skin.
Using it is fairly easy. Definitely use the sunglasses as it can get really bright. I bought the "gun" style becuase I thought it might be easier to hold, but I'm finding that's not the case. I bought it specifically for the bikini area and I find it a little big and cumbersome. I have worked up to the highest setting and for the most part it's pain free. Some spots are more senstive than others and feel a tiny zap (kind of like if you've touched a car door in the winter and you get shocked) where it hurts but it's very very quick and then it just feels a little warm from the light. I put a bit of aloe vera on after and it doesn't really affect me at all. There's no tenderness or redness for me. The process does feel a little slow and it can be hard to tell where it's going to hit. I sort of just scootch the light along my skin a little at a time. The light can only pulse once every 5 or so seconds so if you're doing your legs it might take a good chunk of time and multiple sessions as you're only supposed to run it for about 25 min at a time.
I didn't realize that you had to keep shaving during the whole process, so that's something to keep in mind. I was used to letting my hair grow out for weeks in between trims, but at least for the first 2 months you'll really be shaving every other day.
Otherwise the process is fairly easy and I don't have any regrets. We'll see if it works after the full 6-8 weeks!

Unfortunately, like many items made in other countries, the English instructions are terrible. It’s partly fir this reason that I haven’t used this yet. There’s only so many times you can read a sentence that is poorly structured and cryptic.
One would think that a native speaker of the target language would be employed or contracted to use the product, thoroughly understand it, and write the instruction manual. As someone who has done this professionally in a past life, it would seem to be an obvious way to assure that people used the product safely and effectively. I wonder how many of the negative reviews were due to not being able to figure out the instructions.

I just got this for Christmas so I’m fairly new to it, but so far I have been satisfied. I started out slow and stayed on a one for my hair removal til this week and just went up to a two, so far I think it’s helping slow the hair growth. I’m just using on my neck area and the top of my feet and it’s definitely worked on my foot area. I had some coarse hair on my neck area and it’s helping there too. I think it’s too early to say it’s great but I’m hoping that in a few months I can make a really good review and say this thing the bomb! If you getting one I would definitely say go slow it does get hot and you can burn yourself so make sure you read and follow all directions. It’s well worth a try for the price!

I feel like I will need to use the device more regularly and for a longer amount of time than the instructions state. I'm also a little disappointed in the amount of time that a round of IPL takes with this device, it takes me almost 2 hours to do all over, but maybe that's to be expected with any IPL used on the whole body. All that being said, I'm definitely telling a difference. My hair has been growing more slowly and thinner. I'm hopeful that what I've seen so far will continue.

Pros: 1-The price is reasonable. 2- It claims 3 functions: hair removal, skin conditioning, and acne treatments. (see cons list, 1).
Cons: 1- The product claims to have the capability to be used for hair removal, skin conditioning, and acne treatment; however, unlike other brand options, there are no different light covers for skin conditioning or acne treatments, only a device setting. *Also and importantly, there were no included instructions for using it for skin conditioning or acne treatment, only how to use it for hair removal.
2- This unit is lower powered than others. It's 36 watts of power. Most others I've seen are 48 watts. This was not mentioned in the product description; I only discovered this info on the box once I received it.
3- I don't trust the cheap dollar store like sunglasses it came with one bit. They are dark on top, fade-to-light almost transparent, and have no seal to stop the light from getting to one's eyes. (The sunglasses in the ad show all dark sunglasses which they refer to as goggles.) I'm ordering some actual treatment goggles to use going forward. It's too important to protect one's eyesight to trust it to a solution that would not be used in a professional setting using similar equipment.
4- The device has a slick plastic surface. It takes more effort than it should to keep a grip on it while positioning it, holding it steady, and trying to press the button. It should have a textured surface or include a grip sleeve.
5- the return window of 30 days is far less than the timeframe suggested to expect effectiveness, which is 8 weeks.
I'm debating on sending it back, so I cannot recommend it at this point.

Okay, so I used this product for the full recommended duration before writing this review. For context, I am the ideal candidate for this - fair skinned with darker body hair (which is odd because I’m naturally a dirty blonde but that’s besides the point).
I did the full recommended time period and I did 2-3x a week depending on how busy I was. I used the highest setting. I lasered different parts of my body but I was the most consistent with my armpits and bikini area. I don’t think it really helped after the full time period. There’s very tiny patches that take longer to grow back than others, but I’m kind of surprised since I don’t have super coarse hair there. My bikini area had a more noticeable change with bigger patches of hair that just don’t really grow back, but other than that (again) pretty much the same (though it does grow back a little finer). My legs I see no difference and my arms the only difference I noticed is it’s been growing back pretty fine and pretty light in color but otherwise, same amount of hair growth.
I wouldn’t say this hurts, honestly 8/10 times it feels like nothing. Other times (in more sensitive areas) it kind of feels sharp like a snap of a rubber band but a little harsher.
Overall, I am kind of disappointed by this product, considering I’m the ideal candidate. I don’t think it really did much, just grew the hair back slightly thinner. I do still continue to use it but I still don’t see any crazy results honestly. I did cave and start laser this month (a Brazilian) and I immediately saw a way more drastic change. The hair isn’t growing back in certain areas and the hair is a LOT finer and growing back slower. I would recommend to just bite the bullet and get the real deal, especially if you get the lifetime guarantee kind. This isn’t really worth it to me :(

So in the product details it said you can see results in 8 weeks, once the item arrived the booklet said treatment can take 12 weeks for full results. But my biggest problem with this device was how hot the device got. I could do my armpits, but then need to power the device off and let it cool off for 5 minutes before I could use it again. Even at a lower setting, the glass at the end of the application area got very hot, which made the contact area hot. I would need to do something else like brush my teeth before I could do another area, making the treatment take longer.
After 4 weeks I did not see any change, despite using 3 times a week and going over the area 2 times each treatment. I was not impressed.

It is way much work with it with much less results than expected. I barely see any effects after 2 month of using it and each session takes longer than depiliating so what's the point? I didn't see the effects so I kept on doing it every 3 -5 days which cut off a lot of family time at the beach and water parks and that was very annoying and disapointing. When one starts the sessions has to assume at least half an year of not doing any of the things which exposes the skin and that I can't do.

One of the reasons I purchased it was, in the write up of the ad it says that you have a six month guaranty. Good luck with that. Try to find anywhere on the ad page, the box, the paperwork, contact information to return it. I can’t find it anywhere and I’ve looked for hours.
I got a response from the seller. They asked me to contact them outside of Amazon. Major red flag. They offered me a refund if I changed my review to 5 stars. My integrity can’t be bought. Too bad their’s can.

Not only was it a waste of money but I think about how much time I spent using this and I get really sad. I work almost 60 hrs a week and have 3 kids to take care of so finding extra time for something like this isn’t easy to do. I have been using for about 2.5 months and there is zero difference. It’s done nothing. I was even hitting each spot 4x each session so there’s no reason this shouldn’t have worked. Also, I have brown hair and fair complexion. I’m kicking myself for missing the return window. But like I said, I’m super busy ???????

I have been using it for about 6 weeks on the highest setting, 3 rounds each time, 3x per week and have see no change. I have black hair and pale white skin. It is also leaving brown spots which I can only imagine mark burns. I was going to try to push through for another two weeks to complete the eight but I’m worried it’s causing irreparable damage.

This device didn't work for me, but I got a letter in the mail saying that my account would be blocked if I didn't give this product a "good" rating. I don't know what that is about but the device is painful, its time consuming and it doesn't do what it says, at least not for me. I'm light skinned, so that's not the issue. I hope other people had a better experience.

I used this religiously 3-4 times a week for three months. Followed directions. Used it on high setting.
Absolutely no change. Of course now it is outside the return window, so a total waste of money. It's not as expensive as other laser hair removal options, but it's still not worth it, since it doesn't actually, you know, remove hair.

After less than 3 months of usage the unit broke. The fan stopped whirring last week and a couple of days ago the unit completely shut down and is no longer functioning. I just missed my return window by 2 weeks, disappointing that I wasted my money on it.

I really wanted to love this. The product itself is easy to use and it includes protective eyewear. It is quick and mostly painless. I used this for a total of 12 weeks on a small area of my body and did not notice any difference in hair reduction at all, sadly.
