5.0 out of 5 stars Easy testing

This kid is so much easier to use and let you see the results more clearly then the Binax now tests. The latest Binaxnow has a card where you had to put six drops into one little hole. It was very difficult to make sure it got into it. The iHealth test has a very nice plastic rectangular receptor with a hole that has a lip to catch any wandering drops. You only have to use three drops for the iHealth where 6 is required for the Binax. The Binax test had a variety of shades that would indicate if you were positive. Some could barely be detectable. The iHealth test has one bar that shows up to be positive. That made me so much more comfortable that I was getting a reliable result.

5.0 out of 5 stars An easy to use Covid test

I've, unfortunately, had the need to use these tests multiple times. I've found them to be easy to use and the instructions to be clear. I assume they're accurate and certainly when I was feeling ill, they showed I was positive and when I felt better they showed I was negative. Worth being alert, though, to the possibility of false negatives.

One other note is that this brand has two slightly different versions. In one, the solution is already in the tube into which you insert the nasal swab. In the other version, the solution is in a dropper and you have to squeeze the solution into the tube. If possible, you want the first version because it saves a step. Not sure, though, whether the packages indicate which version you'll be getting.

The kit comes with two tests so I did one on Day Four (positive) and on Day Six (negative), and there is an enclosed pamphlet with instructions including how to interpret results.

4.0 out of 5 stars How to find the correct LOT number for your expire date – iHealth sent me a new kit.
Reviewed in the United States ???? on October 27, 2022
Verified Purchase
I am amending my review from 1 star for a test kit with a lot number that expired in 15 days upon receipt to 4 stars. I’d give 5 stars, but I feel this mistake shouldn’t have happened, and after they contacted me, I’ve been messaging with the company several times, including sending photos.

Once my 1-star review posted, the company got in touch and initially explained the expiration dates were extended 12 months. First, that’s not exactly accurate. Some have been extended 12 months, some 9 months, some only 6 months. Also, you need to understand which expiration sticker you’re looking at.

IF YOUR LOT NUMBER IS PRINTED ON THE BOX, NOT ON A STICKER: The original expiration date is NOT on a sticker, but printed directly on the test kit box. If that’s what you see, navigate to the FDA’s website and download the .pdf “iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test extension” list. Look for the lot number *printed* on the box.

IF YOUR LOT NUMBER IS ON A STICKER AFIXED TO THE BOX: IF your box has a sticker label with an expiration date, that IS the final extension date approved by the FDA – unless the wrong sticker was affixed to the box. Write down the sticker’s lot number, then carefully peel off the sticker. Underneath that sticker is the original lot number and expire date. If the two lot numbers don’t match, an error was made, and go by the lot number printed on the box, not the sticker when you look up the FDA’s extension.

My issue was that I had an original date printed on the box, and a sticker over that, but the sticker lot number did not match the lot number on the box – so the sticker expire date was not accurate.

After some back and forth correspondence, and finally sending photos of both lot numbers (printed on box and the other on the sticker), iHealth is correcting the situation by sending another test kit. I’ll post an update if the expire date is less than 2 months.

I think it's admirable for a company to reach out to reviewers and amend a negative situation. Thank you iHealth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper But a Little More Trouble Than Other Covid Tests
Reviewed in the United States ???? on November 30, 2022
Verified Purchase
I recently had an opportunity to use a variety of Covid tests. Interestingly, I found I pretty direct correlation between price and ease of use. I found the Binax was the easiest to use, at around $12 per test from a big drugstore in-person purchase. The Abbot was a little cheaper, but required an extra step, at least as I counted the steps. This iHealth test was the cheapest, at around 9$ a test, but had the extra step too, and breaking open the solution vial and then pouring the solution from the badly designed vial (no pointy dispensing tip) into the tube was not as easy as with the other two types of tests. If you're looking for the cheapest test of these three, the iHealth works great but is a little more difficult to use. If you're looking for the easiest, go with the Binax, but pay a little more. My government- issued tests were expired, but they were free, so I got what I paid for there too!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good economical, test kit

After using one of the branded test kits, I found this one to be less user friendly. Rather then having a tray which each of the elements were laid out, these were plastic wrapped and tossed into the box. At first I didn’t think that the liquid needed for the test was in the box, it had been bagged with the dropper. Unfortunately the container for the liquid was in a clear container which made it easily overlooked. I did find it when I dumped the remainder of the kit on the counter and saw it in the pack for the second test. I retrieved the dropper bag from the trash and found the test liquid. Good news, I was negative.

Lesson Learned - Check medical products expiration date upon receiving them in the mail - regardless of the vendor.

Ordered two boxes of tests on November 17 2022. Delivered the same day. I needed a valid test that day.
Both boxes had expired in July 2022. 3 MONTHS EXPIRED!
I was able to contact an Amazon representative over the phone (I know! A live person) and he was able to sort it all out in short order. Thank you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product, with some caveats...
Reviewed in the United States ???? on June 24, 2022

First of all, I must say this is a greatly made product. It managed to find my Omicron infection on the 2nd day I become symptomatic (I only had mild symptoms -- and on the second day I only had a sore throat with a slight cough, however, it was enough to show a super dark "T" line about 20 seconds in even though it was negative the day before). The line started to fade away 9-10 days after I become symptomatic, and I like the fact that I can use this to track the progress of my infection.

It is also the test that the government sends via USPS, and amongst the only ones in which insurance don't tend to nitpick about reimbursements. Why, might you say, then I am only giving this product 3 stars? Mostly, it is because of consistency.

1) The product comes in two variants, one in which the test solution tube is prefilled and the other where you have to fill the tube yourself. Both of these have their own problems:

a) On the prefilled tube, the tube is much more rigid when compared to the non-prefilled tube, which has a more malleable plastic. This is important because you will need to squeeze the cotton swab while it is inside the extraction liquid. If you don't manage to squeeze the cotton swab well, a false negative result may occur.

b) On the non-prefilled tube, the extraction solution is in a separate dropper in which you will need to empty into the tube yourself. However, this dropper is poorly designed since the width of the dropper tip is wider than the top of the tube itself (which means the dropper will sit on top of the tube, but not go inside it). This means that while you are trying to empty the dropper contents into the tube, you must also be careful not to slip while squeezing the dropper, otherwise the extraction liquid will simply get on you and you would have wasted a complete test. I don't understand why the manufacturer don't simply make the tip narrower so the whole entire tip will fit inside the top of the tube like a funnel).

2) The cotton swab for some of the boxes leave a slight chemical smell in the nasal cavity after swabbing. For some reason, this only affects some of the boxes I have gotten, even though the swabbing of the nose itself was painless and without any complications.

3) Although these gets delivered quickly by Amazon, some of the items also seem like they have been sitting in a warehouse for a while (maybe a overstock issue)? Depends on when you placed your order and what batch you get, you may end up getting items that are close to expiration (like within a week) or others that have >5 months left on the expiration date. This may happen even if you placed an order on the same day for multiple qtys. The ones that I got which are close to its expiration had the expiration dates covered by a FBA label, which I find a bit shady.

As far as I know the results of two tests via this product were accurate. However, the printed expiration date on the remaining unused kits caused me to toss them after about 6 months. Then when I went to buy new at home test kits, I learned the FDA had extended the shelf life of kits already on the market, by 6-12 months, and thus I had not needed to toss the kits I owned because of the printed expiration dates. Can't say for sure if the seller should be blamed for the waste. However, this was my experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not enough liquid reagent & more cumbersome
Reviewed in the United States ???? on November 12, 2022

I guess it works, so points for that.
In last year's version, the reagent was in the tube, and the tube could stand by itself. (This product was probably worth 5 stars at that time.) Currently, the tube arrives empty and doesn't stand by itself (or mine didn't). The reagent itself was packaged in a tiny pouch, and it wasn't enough for one use. (It didn't reach the designated fill line.) So I had to break open the pouch from the second test kit and add more reagent to the tube from there.
Somehow there was already liquid in the second test tube, so I might be able to use it if I ever need to test again. (According to the instructions, the tube shouldn't have contained any liquid at the time of purchase. The old version had it, not the new.) Otherwise, I would have gotten one test for the price of two, with more hassle.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works ok as a home test, but the telehealth add-on option was pulled right before I needed to use it
Reviewed in the United States ???? on May 26, 2022
Verified Purchase
I bought these for my class of 20 students traveling abroad for an ecology class in Ecuador. The price was reasonable, and I chose this specific item because they could be used both as just an at-home test to confirm we were all negative before traveling to the Amazonian region of Ecuador where we didn't want to spread COVID, PLUS from the iHealth website you could pair their test with a telehealth appointment (for an additional $24.99) that could be used for our test to return to the U.S. at the end of the class. Sounded like we had a plan.
In practice, the tests were easy to use, once you figure out if you have the version with pre-filled vials or non-pre-filled vials. Just had to walk 20 college students through that process, which was a little chaotic but manageable. Not sure why they were all different, maybe it's to keep people on their toes? Some 2 packs had two different ones, some had the same inside. Who knows? 20 tests taken, 20 negative results and we were good to travel to the Amazon.
Anyway, in the 2 weeks since I purchased the tests and we left for Ecuador, the option to buy telehealth appointments from the iHealth website became "Sold Out" overnight. The spots didn't all fill up, they were there one day, and then the option to buy at all just disappeared. So we were stuck with useless antigen tests that the U.S. wouldn't accept for return to the country. Ultimately I ran my class through the testing center at the Quito Airport and got our results in 1-2 hrs so we could return.
In conclusion, the tests seem ok, but pulling the telehealth option made half of the tests I bought useless for my purposes, so I have to deduct a couple stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars Can be accurate if you swab the throat too
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 6, 2022

*update
I stick by original review in not being sure just how accurate these are, however, it appears these CAN work for Omicron if you swab the throat too. Our one son who had had Delta in August was around all of us completely exposed for three weeks in December, but never caught it. Now that we're all better, he is suddenly super tired and throat feels a little funny. We tested more as a joke than anything because I really didn't think these worked. But, I had him swab his throat and then his nose. Sure enough, a line popped up. Couldn't believe it. So, better to be through and swab both the throat and then the nose to get the best sample.

Original Review: While there was nothing wrong with our test kits, and they were easy to use, I really can't say anything about their accuracy. We have used rapid tests before (both Binax and Quick Vue). The Binax instantly showed positive when our son had the Delta version in August. This time around, our daughter brought Omicron home from school and we had a Quick Vue test. She barely even had symptoms and was on day 3 of a slightly sniffy nose (not even like a cold). I decided to test her just in case as we were heading into Christmas break. Just like the Binax, the Quick Vue came up instantly positive. The rest of us started to feel poorly and we couldn't find tests anywhere. Saw these and they came about 8 days later. By that time one of our sons had the sniffles and sneezes pretty badly and had for about 6 days. We have him one of these tests, and there was nothing. Got him tested through the state at day 8 and the PCR test (I know they're more sensitive) came back positive. Gave another one of our sons one of these tests and it also showed nothing. Our entire family had it, but these tests showed negative when they were in the thick of their symptoms. Anyway, just not sure how reliable they are compared to the other two brands I mentioned. I know they say some rapid tests don't pick up on Omicron, so maybe that's the case here. But Quick Vue sure did without a problem. ???????

I ordered these tests for my employees as we had two confirmed cases and wanted to make sure symptomatic people weren’t positive and they were the only ones available for same day delivery. The tests arrived quickly and we used them, noting a very faint control line and test line indicating a positive test. Then we noticed the tests were expired by nearly 6 months. My employee took the second test in the box and got a clear negative result, but same faint control line. We were concerned they were positive or the tests were faulty and sent them home as a precaution. They instead got a test at urgent care (as they needed to be cleared to work) and it was negative. So these tests cost my employee a days worth of pay, urgent care visit and all for nothing.

When I reported it the seller basically talked down to me that the FDA had extended the expiration on these tests. Yes I had read that while googling about faint control lines. That might be true but I feel there is a huge quality issue when a test throws a false positive, and negative result within an hour of each other and they’re from the same box. This caused a lot of added expense and anxiety we did not need. I will not be purchasing this brand again. I had to ask repeatedly for a refund and eventually was granted one. Buyer beware and if your tests are expired I’d contact the seller before use and ask for a refund or exchange because I would not trust these past the expiration (and honestly I feel uneasy about the brand even if not expired at this point.)

2.0 out of 5 stars Tests almost expired, not enough liquid in 1/2 tubes

I received my tests yesterday (1/9), and the expiration date is the 28th. I understand the extended time, but I checked the lot number against the FDA list, and this IS the extended expiration date. They should not be selling tests this close to the expiration.

Secondly, my tubes did not come pre-filled, so I had to try to fill them myself from the little droppers. Unfortunately, although I was very, very careful (I used to work in a lab, so I’m not a novice), there was not enough reagent to get to the bottom of the meniscus to the proper line on one of the tubes. According to the directions, this renders the test unusable.

The one test I was able to use was simple. I have used iHealth rapid Covid tests before, and the results are clear to read and interpret. But to only be able to use 1/2 tests is a waste of money. Please use prefilled tubes or provide enough reagent to be able to perform the test.

I’m a little leery of buying more of these in the future, as easy as they are.

2.0 out of 5 stars WARNING: PRE-FILLED (NEWER?) KITS NOT PRODUCING LEGIBLE RESULTS!!
Reviewed in the United States ???? on October 18, 2022

This used to be my go-to brand for testing— it’s simple, effective, and (as long as you get even a decent sample collected), the results were always clear to read. For a long time (I’ve been buying this since the beginning), the kits came where the sample tubes were not pre-filled, and were packaged alongside a plastic vial that you would twist the top off, pour the solution into the tube, and later swab your collected sample into. No problems at all. Lately, the versions I’ve received have changed to have pre-filled tubes. This seemed great at first, one less step to complete! However, every single kit (I’ve used three so far of this version, all within expiration date and without damage, used correctly) of this pre-filled model produces extremely faint lines. Whereas the previous fill-it-yourself-tube models always produced strong Control lines as long as you swabbed enough (which I do, I even swab my uvula and tonsils, as is now suggested in addition to nasal swabbing), the pre-filled kits barely show a line. My concern is that if the the Control line is faint, and the Test line can show up fairly lightly if you are COVID-positive but not carrying a large viral load, that stands to reason that the faint lines may not show up at all. A lot of people may be testing positive with the pre-filled kits and be unable to tell. Until this is resolved, I am no longer using these kits— what a waste! I have attempted to contact the company once over a week ago and heard nothing in response since. This is a public health risk that needs immediate investigation and, likely, a recall of the product.

The only part I did not like about this is that you have to take the little tube, twist off the top and pour it into the larger one. I found that the little tube with the solution was difficult to pour the solution into the larger one. Seems like when you break off the tip to open up the little tube it doesn't do it cleanly so that the solution will pour easily into the bigger one. I preferred it when the bigger tube already had the solution in it, which made it one less step and easier to use. With that said, as far as accuracy not sure how much the solution affects the results because I couldn't always get enough of the solution into the big tube.

Bought for tests when coming back to work, use as needed for symptoms in my family. At first this seemed like a good deal - two tests in each kit. But twice now, out of about 4-5 times using the tests very carefully, I've had to use BOTH solutions in a package to have enough to do one test. This essentially negates the savings of having the second test in the package. It's not a matter of the provider wanting to make sure there's no more than the exact amount. The test instructions say the solution must be "level with or above" the line. Having a little extra solution would not be an issue. So why don't they provide enough to ensure there's a little more than enough except in case of spills?

2.0 out of 5 stars plastic tube difficult to squeeze, extra step to pour out solution into tube
Reviewed in the United States ???? on December 23, 2022

2 cons with this brand:

1. The plastic tube is too thick and difficult to squeeze. You're supposed to "squeegee" the swab, but the plastic tube is too rigid, so it's impossible to squeegee the swab. Other brands have softer tubes that are easier to squeeze.

2. In some boxes (but not all), the tube is not pre-filled with solution. The solution comes in a separate pack, that is very cumbersome to pour out. By the end, it is all foamy and messy. Why don't all the tubes just come pre-filled?

Pros

1. The 2 screw caps make it easier to squeeze the drops out. Other brands require to snap on a tip, which is cumbersome.

I have been using these tests for a while now. They work fine. BUT, they are unusable if expired. I just ordered four boxes, non-returnable, that expire in less than a month. I appreciate that there may be an overstock and the company needs to get rid of them. And, there apparently is a three month date extension from the FDA that states the product is good for 3 months past the expiration date. AND, that depends on the proper storage conditions being in place. We have no guarantee what the temperature is at the various Amazon facilities and they need to be stored in 86 degree (F) or less temp in order to stay good past that point. I live in CA and it's hot here. On a 90-100 degree weather day, them sitting in the mailbox or outside in the baking sun for hours at a time, does not lend to my confidence that the product will remain accurate after the expiration date.
iHealth, maybe you can donate the almost expired kits to some place that needs them, use it as a tax write off and give your paying customers kits that will stay good for at least 3 months past their arrival date at the customers home?

I'm happy with the product itself. Easy to use and quick results. We use them regularly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Gamble on expiration dates

Either the manufacture or Amazon seems to sit on these for most of their shelf life before sending them out.
This month I received tests that will expire just over 2 months from receipt, which is similar to prior orders I've made since January. Last month I received tests with an expiration date four months after receipt, which was the longest timeframe for expiration I've seen so far. Since they expire 6 months after manufacture, it's pretty bad to typically get them about 2 months before expiration.
The tests themselves are easy to use and, so far as I can tell, accurate (only negative so far but that has been correct to the best of my knowledge).

Update 8/10/22:
I received an order with expiration dates 6 months out! Hopefully this will continue.
Also, just a heads up, the instructions will have information saying the fluid has to be at least to the first line of the dispenser to work. If this were true about 90% of the tests would not work, it's very rare to get one that has enough fluid to make it to that line. But this does not seem to affect the test as long as you have enough fluid for the 3 drops required at the end.
Also, we did have some positive tests since I originally wrote this. They're not kidding when they say the line can be VERY faint and have it be a positive result (this happened both at the beginning and end of testing positive, the tests in the middle were easily visible). Look very closely in very good light.

2.0 out of 5 stars Insufficient solvent for two tests
Reviewed in the United States ???? on November 6, 2022

I've ordered these a couple times now. The first set were fine. But the latest set were half waste.

There's a little lidded container for dousing your swab in solvent with two lines on it. The instructions explicitly indicate that the test is invalid unless there is enough fluid to reach the lower line. They also include a packet of fluid, which you're supposed to pour into the container for testing.

However, the most recent set of tests I received doesn't include enough fluid per packet to reach that critical first line. When I was testing today, I had to use the solvent from *both* tests (rendering the second test unusable) in order to get enough solution into the container to complete one test. So... a waste of money. The Abbott Binax tests are more user-friendly anyway, IMO. CVS.com usually carries them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Negative review specifically for test type where one must add test solution into tube oneself
Reviewed in the United States ???? on February 18, 2023

I've had good, confident experiences with the pre-filled tube variety of this brand. However, upon receiving the version where the test solution must be squeezed from the disposable sealed packet into the tube, both of the two sealed packets did NOT have enough solution to fill the tube to the *required* "Edge 2".

The test instructions clearly state the following:
“It is acceptable if the liquid level is above Edge 2. However, please do not proceed with this test, if the liquid level is below Edge 2, as this may result in false invalid results.

Even with complete and utter care and diligence to squeeze (to exaggerate a bit) every observable molecule of liquid from the disposable packet into the tube, both tests in the kit only managed to fill the tube to a liquid level of about one-eighth of an inch to one-tenth of an inch BELOW the crucial line. Upon taking the first of my two tests, I should have simply taken the liquid from the last-remaining packet (of the second kit) to fill the first tube to the line, but I thought “surely this is a fluke that will be remedied upon a second test.” I was wrong.

This being the case, by the kits' own instructions, the shallow-solution tests “may result in false invalid results” and cannot be trusted. And, since my kits were purchased for when they would eventually be needed, the refund window had already passed. A waste of money, indeed.

My advice would be: check your kit upon reception. If you see that you must fill the solution into the tube yourself, request a refund immediately. If the liquid is already in the tube, carry on!

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective test kit not quickly replaced
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 21, 2023

I have used this brand of test kits most frequently, compared to other brands. But, they have changed the kit itself to one I am not as confident in. These 'Made in China' kits come with two tests within the box. Previously they had four parts; a mixing vial/tube to hold the liquid while swirling the swab, the swab, a separate vial of the liquid which had to be opened and poured into the mixing vial, and also the test 'card.' While still including the old instructions in the test kit, they changed the kit to have the liquid already inside the mixing tube. It seems important to me that the tube has a cap screwed on it, but it isn't sealed. Hence, my complaint as one of the two tubes in the first kit we opened was dry, and the second tube was low on fluid content. I e-mailed the manufacturer to get a replacement kit and after providing the information they requested was informed that it might take quite some time to complete their 'investigation' as they were quite busy. I think from now on I will switch to a different brand.

1.0 out of 5 stars Solution was below edge 2 and thus unusable and I can’t return

For test kit 2; the instructions say empty the solution into the container and it must reach edge 2. Instruction says if the solution is below edge 2; there’s not enough solution and test can give false negative and that I should discard the test. Well; solution was about 20% below edge 2 (on a level surface). And guess what, I can’t return the product. They also make it too hard; why don’t just have the container shipped with the solution already in there. All in all, I will never buy this kit again until they fix this flaw.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not enough fluid

This test would have been fine if enough fluid was in the vial to fill the tube to the proper line. It took the fluid for both tests to get to the line, so one test is now useless in the pack of two. I have not needed to use them until now, so would have not know this to return them. I would hope the seller would replace the useless test and do hope that the other two packages in this bundle do not have the same issue. The prefilled are better for this reason.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly designed, poor instructions compared with other kits
Reviewed in the United States ???? on December 9, 2022

This kit is poorly designed. I’ve used other kits that were much better designed. In particular, the tiny tear off vial of solution doesn’t work well. The hole produced by the twist off is so small that the solution doesn’t drip out, it has to be squeezed out, and flies at all angles, not into the tube where it is supposed to go. In other kits, the test solution is in the test tube. I lost too much solution on the first try and had to use the second kit, doubling the cost. Also, had I not used another kit over the course of this pandemic, I would have found the instructions hard to read and understand. The type face is too small, the wording is poor, and the graphics are bad. I’ll just note finally that this wasn’t my first experience with lab kits. I have been a bench scientist for 40 years. Test kits have been around quite a while in the lab: this one needs a reboot. I can’t speak o its accuracy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Test expiring in less than 8 weeks even with the extended FDA expirations

Vendor only ships kits that expired more than 6 months prior. Even with the extended expiration from the FDA are expiring in the next 2 months. This happened when I bought kits last year. It’s happened again this time: I bought 4 kits, and each has a different extended expiration, the furthest out is April 20, 2023.

With the last kits, I had two tests in different boxes show no control line so had to do them over. Not sure if this was due to poor sampling or test kit quality. Buyer beware.

It should be said that I have ordered/used these tests in the past, and they are as accurate as you’d hope. Every now and again we’d get a false-positive, but that is to be expected. So I ordered these three boxes as numbers in the area are up, and sickness is in the house, but I’m giving this batch one star because I opened a box, and there were no swabs in it, and I can’t return it. That’s it. I’m just pissed. Otherwise, they’re fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Tests

I ordered three boxes, 8 tests, and they were bad. Not one line showed up. So I wasted my money. The tip of the nose swap sticks were yellowish. I guess that was an indication that they were old. Also the original expiration date on the package was covered with a extended expiration sticker. That’s the first time I experienced this with this brand what I have purchased many times before. Wish I could get my money back or get three new test boxes.

I've purchased and used these many times in the past. Had COVID once that I know of and it was caught in early stages by an ihealth rapid test. In the past I was very happy with these. Very easy to use and I believe accurate. Unfortunately I bought 5 boxes on November 21 and all 5 we're expired in late June or early July. OVER 4 MONTHS PAST EXPIRATION! Tried to return them but it's not allowed. I recommend these only if you can verify the expiration date prior to purchasing. I would rate the purchase of these 5 boxes as my worst Amazon buy ever.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not accurate, whatsoever

These do not detect Covid accurately. I tested positive twice via PCR test, taken about 6 days apart from one another, and took three of these in between those tests, and they all tested negative. My wife on the other hand, tested positive on one of these, and negative on two others, but also confirmed her positive diagnosis via PCR test. Just to be clear, we did not take any test on a whim, we took them following all the tell-tale signs of having Covid-19 after having direct exposure to a coworker that had a confirmed case.

These are only good if you're looking to go to a restricted area that requires a negative test. If you feel like you actually have Covid-19, DO NOT TRUST THESE, and go get a proper test done instead so you know for sure. These were not a waste of money in my opinion, as it was worth buying to confirm the inaccuracy of these types of tests to fulfill my own personal curiosity, however I think it's dangerous to sell a product that is so inaccurate, as it could lead to open transmission of Covid-19 if someone thinks that a negative test here means they do not have Covid-19.

We did six tests total. We both tested positive for Covid-19, and only one of six showed a positive result, making these 16.67% accurate in our experience.
