I know it is only February but I do believe that I have made the best purchase for the entire year! This three step stool ladder gives me confidence because it is so sturdy and will stay in place; It will enable me to reach so much higher without fear of falling or tipping. The step are wide so there is no concern for a foot slipping off or slipping through the openings. Easy to unfold and easy to fold up to store. It's sturdy, and for a senior, that is very important. Even though it is sturdy, it is not really heavy and is easy to carry from one place to another. Just opened it tonight and am doing the "happy dance." Thank you so much for having made a good product that seniors and others can use for simple tasks.

My age and "bionic" hip make it difficult to climb onto a chair to reach things up high. This ladder is STURDY! It feels secure and does not wobble when standing on it. The "handle" is in a good position as well to steady oneself when climbing onto the step. I debated between the 2 and 3 step models. Although the 3-step model that I chose is a bit larger so storage is a consideration, I really like having the 3rd step to use as a shelf to set tools. The ladder does fold flat easily so the step stool gets tucked into the end of our coat closet. Very happy with this handy purchase and the overall quality/functionability of it.

I'm in my 80's. Everybody is telling me "You are old so don't try to pick up heavy things, or reach for things above your head, stay off ladder and step stools. I found this and it has hand holds and when my kids saw this one, they quit telling me to sty off and started saying "just be sure you hold on and don't go up more than 2 steps!" So nice to have freedom to be able to do a few things for myself again without the nagging!

Love everything about it. I weight 240 and I feel very Secure on the step ladder. It is strong and sturdy. Grips floor (on my floor) I don’t know about anybody else’s floor. Folds up to be very thin. I’m 71 years old and it’s exactly what I needed to reach the top part of my cabinets. It’s a little heavy but not heavy enough that a 71-year-old can’t pick it up very easily. It keeps me from having to drag out my heavy duty painters ladder. I’ve done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and I finally decided this one was the one I wanted at the price I wanted. I am very happy that I chose this one and I think you will be too.

I needed a ladder/step stool for inside my house. Was tired of having to find and then drag a regular ladder inside. This is light enough and definitely strong enough. I like that I can hold onto the rail while I climb up and down (73 years old) without feeling like I'm going to fall. Was not much putting together required. Just the tool tray and a couple of bolts for the frame. Easy.

Wide steps mean your feet don't hurt, it's safer and there's even a tool tray. I love the railings to hold on to as you climb. We both love it!

Have been searching for a while for a ladder that was sturdy, easy to handle, and provided enough height for me to get to my top cabinets in the kitchen. This ladder is the BEST! It not only fulfilled my expectations, but the bonus is it has a handy shelf part for tools, a place to set your hand drill and even a cup holder. No more up and down in order to get a project done. I bought the dark green because I love green. The absolute best part is that the steps and feet are a hard, traction rubber that grips whatever surface you're on, no slipping or sliding. I have used it on cement, dirt (after a rain), decorative yard rocks with no problem. It also holds over 330 pounds! GET THIS LADDER YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOU PURCHASE!

We needed a step ladder tall enough to get up to household items over 5 feet tall. We also needed one which has steps deep enough to keep feet from slipping off them. This does the trick with the deeper steps and the height is just right without being too high. Plus it is very foldable and light enough for me to easily carry, so when I need it I can bring it out from the storage spot, unfold it, use and put it back when I am finished with it. I supports up to 300 lbs (a while lot more than my weight), so I don't need to worry about it collapsing on me. So glad we found it!

I am all those things I stated in my title, and when I tell you this ladder changed my life, I am not exaggerating. Bought a home in a rural area just before the pandemic and there is a lot to do around here. No ladder I owned, even a metal 3 step nor the telescopic longer one that needs to lean against something made me feel safe. I took a chance on this one because it claimed to support at least 100 lbs more than I weigh and tried it out. I felt so secure on this thing, to the point of being able to turn in awkward positions and not feel dizzy (I suffer from vertigo) because of the confidence I had with the wide steps. I felt empowered. I took it outdoors to hang a flagpole off my porch. Inspired, I bought paint and ended up painting two rooms and a hallway!!! It has all the right holes at the top to hold your hammer, drill, screw drivers, bobs and bits and even a paint can when needed! And it is light enough for these poor knees to trot to and fro. I have it hanging inside a door of a closet on one of those $tree coat hooks. I LOVE THIS THING!!! If you are looking for a ladder that feels sturdy despite being so light and won't make you feel like your plus size self is going to break it, THIS IS THE LADDER FOR YOU!!

This is not high deep steps so easy for me, but isn’t real easy to open and close, so we leave it open in a corner for me to have easy access. It’s very sturdy which I wanted something very sturdy. I’m always afraid of falling again! But no fears with this. I am quite save when I use it . My husband initially demanded I not use it when he wasn’t home, but par for the course I ignored him. Whwn he came home to see me cleaning the cabinets way over my head and was safe as could be he stopped worrying! I recommend this to anyone who is short and also can not reach much. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great ladder to use in tight spaces

We bought this to help with remodeling a small bathroom with a skylight. Our normal ladder was too big to maneuver in the small space between the tub, toilet, and vanity. This was perfect for fitting in that space to help us paint the walls. It is rated over 300 pounds, but I did find that it was not quite as sturdy as out other ladder that is rated to 350 pounds. I still felt it was quite safe, even though the steps are made of plastic. It has a nice platform at the top to put a paint bucket, with indentations to help hold different size buckets stable. I found that to be more of a hindrance than a help because none of our paint cans or buckets really fit those indentations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great once you get it assembled
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 25, 2023
Size: 4-Step with Tool PlatformColor: GreenVerified Purchase
First, the good. I bought this ladder because I have limited knee mobility and normal ladders have rungs that are almost 12 inches apart, so they're hard for me to use. This ladder has rungs that are a little over nine inches apart, so much easier for me to get my foot up to. So in that way this ladder exactly meets my needs.

Now the bad. The plastic parts aren't as carefully manufactured as the metal ones. Lining up the holes in the metal tubes to install the handrail was a piece of cake. When I tried to install the tool tray, the hole on one side had been compressed so the screw post didn't fit through the hole. I fixed that by reshaping the hole. Then, on the other side, the screw post goes through part of the plastic and then through two holes in the metal, and I couldn't get it to line up. I could reach in with a nail set and force it into place, but it wouldn't stay when I removed the nail set to put the bolt in.

I would still recommend this ladder, but when you assemble it, do step 4 (install the tool tray) before you do step 3 (install the handrail). Once you have the tool tray fastened to the handrail piece, you can easily put the handrail in the holes and fasten it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely helpful - but wobbles slightly

I had a 3-step Little Giant foldable step ladder in my pantry but realized after a few months of using it, it was too bulky and heavy to move around the kitchen. We still needed something with height and it had to be sturdy. So I took a chance on this item - and it does the job adequately. The steps aren't placed to far apart, so the step up space is a bit narrow (so you have to watch your step!). And folding it back up takes one firm tug on the top step - no problem. It folds away and takes up less space than the Little Giant for sure.

I'm not sure if the floor in my pantry isn't level, but this step stool seems a little wobbly when I'm standing on it. Almost like one of the feet needs to be leveled. The Little Giant didn't wobble at all. I'll see if the step ladder's feet can be adjusted and will update this review if the problem is fixed.

Overall, a good ladder for the price. Just what we needed.

The steps are plastic (as advertised), and with this design, they are just a little wobbly. This is not like using a sturdy metal stepladder. It will definitely take care of a need we have in getting to higher shelves, changing some lightbulbs, putting some things away in the garage, without getting down the larger, heavier ladder. But if you seek or need the stability of an actual stepladder, it could be an issue.

I’d have happily paid a bit more for the steps to be more sturdy. After all, I want something that lasts me many years down the road and my cheap Cosco step stool has seen much better days.

Now, the 4 step may be fine for you. But it does not have the extra step, and the side rails to hang on to. I saved money, but it was my mistake. Just be careful what you order. Both are made by the same company. Quality is fine. I have 9' ceilings so the 5 step may have been better. be alert out there.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy but low quality
Reviewed in the United States ???? on August 19, 2020

I was looking for a 3 step ladder that had a capacity over 300 lbs. I came across this one and saw that the updated version could even support 500 lbs. At the price, and the excellent reviews this seemed like a no brainer. Here are my pros and cons.

Pros:

1. Rock steady - I took over 300 lbs with me and stood on the top step, then wiggled around and there was zero sway or twist in the ladder. The feet are excellent (unlike many other ladders I saw) and when this thing is planted, it does not move.

2. Folds Well - In the manufacturer photos, it seems like it does not fold absolutely flat. The legs are on the outside (unlike most ladders) and almost seemed like the extra bulk of it (which I assumed was for the capacity that it could hold and thus understandable) would not allow it to close completely. I was very happily surprised to see that indeed it closes flat so that it has a very slim profile. Easy to fold and close with the handle in the top step. But not "too" easy like it just flies open or closed. I prefer the little bit of resistance. If you are carrying it around, it will not open up on you or close up.

Cons:

1. Very Poor Craftsmanship - In the first picture, you can see that the safety sticker has paint all over it and is not even fully attached. The sticker is partially sitting on the pin that attaches the legs together. That is sure to rip off soon. There is paint not only on the sticker but the plastic cap where the legs are attached, and sporadically other places. In the second picture, you can see where there must have been some large divots in the steel tubes where they touched up the paint. Obviously they had zero care for what they got paint on and the paint is already starting to chip there. At first, I thought it was a backed enamel paint but clearly it is not. The welds are sloppy as well. It is this lack of care and craftsmanship that makes me feel insecure about whether this will hold up, especially at the capacity that they claim. There is of course no certification and it is not listed on the ladder itself unfortunately. Seems like it would be a good thing to know?

2. HASSLE FREE WARRANTY - It says on here that "You can get 2 years warranty, 100% money back guarantee, and 24-hours friendly customer service. Any problem please contact us without hesitation." Great, where do I call or email? It is not listed anywhere here and no where on the "manual". No number, email, website or anything. There isn't ever a name of a company anywhere on the manual! So good luck with that I guess?

Bottom line: I will keep the ladder. Too much of a hassle to sent it back and it does the main thing I want it to do, be rock steady with a lot of weight on it. Hopefully it will last but I guess you get what you pay for. I personally would never take it to the supposed max 500 lbs, not even close.

A couple of side notes that are neither pro or con:

1) Capacity - There was a lot of confusion in the questions about whether this ladder has a 330 or 500 lbs capacity and no wonder since the description is a mess. Amazon apparently does not care. Anyway, as I understand it, the previous model was only 330 lbs. As stated in the description the "2020 UPGRADE ... Maximum Load: 500 pounds." As can be seen from the picture I posted of the manual, it clearly states 500 lbs. So I am assuming it is the same listing as before, but if you buy one now, you get the upgraded one like I did.

2) Metal Safe Buckle - There is a picture shown with a statement that reads, "...automatically locked in place when you use the step ladder. " This is completely untrue and totally misleading. The metal buckle shown is simply a mechanism to open and close the ladder. It does not "lock" or do anything related to safety. When fully opened, the metal slightly pushes against the plastic of the step (you can see the stress mark on the plastic already). After some use it will be worn down. So to be clear, this ladder DOES NOT LOCK into place. I personally do not care if it does so this is something I do not care about. As I stated above, there is enough friction in the in the mechanics so that the ladder does not open and close with some help. So if you need one that "locks" (and not sure why you would care that much) then don't get this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Modifications Needed to Assemble
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 28, 2023

When assembling this ladder, i encountered several mistakes in the design/fabrication
1. the head on the bolt D is too large. It should not drag across the shelf when it is inserted. It should be able to pass more easily across the shelf and through the ladder handle. A hammer and block of wood were used to pound the bolt through even after slightly drilling out the holes.
2. then the hole on the outside of the handles on both sides was not punched properly, leaving the metal tab blocking the hole so that D would not pass through. I used a drill to remedy.

Nonetheless, a good ladder for the price.

I was disappointed that the 4 step was only 3.5" taller than a 3 step platform ladder. It didn't say in the description how high the top step was, but it is only 37" as compared to 33.5" for a standard 3 step one. Not enough of a difference to increase the reach height. The steps are closer together than a 3 step so I guess that makes it easier to use for some people to use, but it weighs 5lbs more than a 3 step unit. I am inclined to return it as I already have one that works for this height and it weighs a lot less than this one.

This was ordered because of the high ceilings in new place and needed to paint the ceiling of a recent remodeled closet so could reach to paint. It is nice that it has four steps and the top handle for more support. Unfortunately, I began putting together before inspecting all the parts. It was a terrible experience that took almost all night. It was awhile back but think the issue was resolved since did not have time to reorder. In addition, related to return and reorder, it was impossible. One of the pieces was round, but the part to insert into the round hole was flattened somewhat. It was only able to be inserted part way and once partially inserted could not take apart to return. After much muscle power, WD40, etc. it was able to fit enough that it would be safe - obviously it wasn't going to come apart at that point. When called about the product was told to return...the reply was no way was I going to attempt to try to take apart, it would have to be used as is. However, we worked out a compromise. Nice ladder but caution to inspect before attempting to put together.

I finally had enough money to buy this the next time it went on sale so went for it. Since my family ranges to many sizes & up to 6'6" I knew I needed a heavy duty one & this advertised for 500 lbs. No...just no. Even though the ad says 500 lbs. it doesn't say that anywhere ON the ladder. It feels way too flimsy to take that much weight. My youngest son (210) tried it then told the heavier members of the family to stay off as it was flexing so much just at his weight. So now I have an easy to store ladder conveniently right in my kitchen that I'm afraid to ask most of my family members to use. I still can't ask for things from a top cupboard until a grandchild stops by & they jump up on the countertop to reach it anyway.

2.0 out of 5 stars unable to attach the top shelf
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 15, 2023
Size: 4-Step with Tool PlatformColor: BlackVerified Purchase
As you can see the special screws provided cannot be lined up due to the size of the screw heads, so the top shelf cannot be installed. The fact that this ladder requires assembly to begin with is annoying enough, but the poor quality control makes this all the more frustrating. Without the top shelf this ladder is a just an overpriced folding ladder that you could get from any local hardware store for half the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wobbles, tool platform unusable
Reviewed in the United States ???? on January 26, 2023

It wobbles when you stand on the top step (average weight/size). The tool platform could not be installed at all because the screws they provided were too big to fit in their designated places. As if the manufacturer never tested their own product once, cuz if they did it was clearly not gonna work.

Unstable. Every step flexed significantly under my weight of 200#. Overall unit flexed and creaked. I don't trust it - returned immediately. Didn't lock seccurely. Bought Gorilla unit at HD for $5 more, rated 300# but far superior from my experience.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly made and impossible to put together

I am literally shocked that this item has such high ratings as this item was completely defective for me from the very beginning.
The first step is to insert the handrail into the ladder part. This was the first thing that was off and I should have known this was going to continue as I attempted to put this whole thing together. The handrail would not fit into the ladder holes. My sister tried to put it together first but did not have success, so it was my turn. Only after inserting it both ways, I got a little progress but then had to resort to hammering the handrail into place. This slightly damaged the handrail, but was the only option. Once in place, both screws needed to be hammered and screwed into place using a drill. Good luck trying to do this with the allen wrench sent in the box.
Then it was time to screw in the tool tray, which should be the easiest part because it's the most lightweight and made of plastic. But it just became more of a disaster.
Every single pre-made hole to screw in the pieces is misshaped, misaligned, and one hole even had part of the metal that was supposed to be drilled and removed still partially stuck to the metal. Then, the screws would not even fit into place into one another.
The worst part is, that when I went to put in a return request, it was required to return a DEFECTIVE ITEM that I couldn't even take apart to put back into the box, because I had to use so much force to the handrail in that it was literally impossible to take it apart without the use of heavy machinery! A step stool/ladder should not be this difficult to put together.
Luckily, the agent I chatted with on Amazon made a one time exception for me to not have to return the item. It will be going in the garbage though. You are better off going to Home Depot or Walmart to purchase one that doesn't need to be put together.

1.0 out of 5 stars FALSE ADVERTISING! DANGEROUS!! Do NOT buy based off it's rating!! Not rated for 500lbs!!!!!
Reviewed in the United States ???? on August 30, 2021
Size: 3-StepColor: BlackVerified Purchase
I'm 320lbs and got this for my elderly mother to water her plants but nowhere on the product is it ACTUALLY rated for 500lbs that is just something they added to a photo and to the listing headline to sell more of their product. And the product is absolute JUNK!! I wouldn't let anyone over 80lbs use this thing and it 100% buckled under me resting 70% of my weight on the bottom rung let alone try to climb it. This is DEFINITELY the 200lbs MAX capacity ladders posted for much cheaper simply REBRANDED in the listing as a higher quality product. All these positive reviews come from BOTS or 90lbs moms who don't know any better and are inspired by other positive reviews to join the bandwagon and leave one of their own.

PROs:
It's the correct height and looks nice
Good for setting up your enemies to drop dead

CONs:
breaks under less then 300lbs of load
Is made of CHEAP plastic lower then 99cents store quality dust bins and FLEXES with just your hands
The cheap plastic is ONLY braced by ONE RUNG at the top and connects all the way down using thin low grade metal and is fastened on by a single small bolt.

Buy this product for less by going with the competitors that are LEGITIMATE and properly rated their product max weight at 200lbs or less and not these THIEVES trying to hustle you and risk your life to make a quick buck.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone other then a thin 10yr old kid who could handle breaking a few bones still or to anyone trying to get away with murder, it's the perfect gift just buy them this ladder and hanging plants and watch them die trying to water them.

1.0 out of 5 stars You have to assemble it

DON"T BUY THIS PRODUCT !!! You have to assemble parts of it and can cause you bodily harm as it did me. It seemed simple enough but only if it's delivered in perfect shape. Their terrible lack of quality control may have just let it go through.. The holes for the tray had to be reshaped so the bolts would fit in. Having to do that caused cutting of my fingers and time looking for the bolts that fell out.. What should have been a simple exercise took about an hour and more than one person,, ridiculous.. POOR QUALITY CONTROL.. Makes me cautious about using the product itself.. My Advise.. use another company

1.0 out of 5 stars ??BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!?? Not worth your hard earning money or putting your life at risk!

I bought this 2 step ladder to use around the house, because the one I already had seemed old and not presentable. When I tell you I regret buying this step ladder! BOY, DO I REGRET IT! It’s so upsetting to own this junk. & to be honest I only bought it because it had good reviews! which is hard to understand! Because I wish I could give it 0 stars. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch but this ladder is NOT SAFE, not sturdy or in any way equipped to carry the amount of weight it states! The plastic and frame bended with in a week of receiving it and only my toddlers had used it to reach the sink to brush their teeth and wash their face and hands, & they don’t even weigh close to 40lbs, I tried fixing it but it just keeps bending and coming apart. It’s a real RISK to have and use, I really wish I knew this before! Everything good advertised about it is a complete LIE! I don’t know what else to tell you to convince you not to buy it. I honestly DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Please think of your safety first! For now I’ll stick to my old weary but safe step ladder.

1.0 out of 5 stars not sturdy, not anti slip
Reviewed in the United States ???? on December 29, 2022

This ladder not sturdy at all. The back of the steps bend down when stepping on it and I only weigh 120lb. I did not feel comfortable stepping more than two steps just to try it out, and I need to be able to step to the 4th step while carrying things up to the top of my kitchen cabinets, which I would definitely not feel comfortable doing. Also the steps are made of a hard plastic which I do not find to be anti slip at all. This is not at all what was promised on the description. Would not recommend this ladder at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is NOT non-slip!

This step ladder is extremely slippery. When you climb it, it feels sturdy... Until you get to the third step and then stand up for whatever you are using it for and then it slips. I almost fell from it twice. I thought I purchased a fluke so I returned and replaced but the new one is even worse! To be fair, it doesn't skid a whole bunch. It just does one violet jerk when you put weight on the 3rd step which is flashing-life-before-your-eyes scary. If you can maintain your Kung Fu balance after the initial jerk, it stays. However, it is billed as "anti-slip" which is definitely not the case.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheap plastic
Reviewed in the United States ???? on February 2, 2023
Size: 3-StepColor: BlackVerified Purchase
Seems impossible this was independently certified for 500lbs. It's light cheap plastic and light metal frame with small welds and rivets, easy to lift it with one finger. Plastic used in kids toys appears more durable. It comes with a xerox looking manual that has 500lbs printed on it. Returned it immediately, Amazon should consider pulling it or at least testing it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Shifting steps are unstable and construction is not of a high quality

I own a number of different ladders: 3 step ladders that have 2 steps and 3 steps, a 20 foot Little Giant and a 15 foot Little Giant. I wanted to obtain a 4 step step ladder and the description of this one sounded like what I was looking for. Semi-light weight, non-skid steps, etc. When I unpacked the ladder it seemed to have a good finish, and nice rubber feet but I noticed that it would not fold flat, because one side didn't fold all the way in. When unfolded it would not "lock" down unless I gave it a firm pound above the locking bar. When I first stepped on it I felt the step slide sideways.... that was the my first indication that this would not be a safe ladder to climb up and down as every step exhibited the same tendency to shift left and right. I also noticed that the step bars were spot welded to the leg frames instead of being inserted into the leg frames which would provide a much stronger and safer connection. As I mentioned, I own a number of ladders and I know what makes a strong ladder and what makes a weaker and unsafe ladder. I would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for safety.

This thing is so unsteady. I threw away the box before testing it out and now Amazon won’t take it back. I can’t find a box big enough to ship it back and the ups store won’t take it without a box. I almost fell off 3 times in the first day I used it. Don’t buy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective (bent and with unfold)
Reviewed in the United States ???? on September 26, 2022
Size: 3-StepColor: BlackVerified Purchase
This product arrived defective. In the photos you can see the thin vertical bars attached to the steps are bent. The steps seem to be tight and when you try to open/unfold the ladder the bent pole bends out and hits the top horizontal support beam preventing it from opening. The bottom step won’t push down and I think that’s the reason it won’t open and the pressure forces the bar to bend. It came this way. As soon as I had trouble unfolding the ladder I noticed the bent bars attached to all the steps. I’m surprised because this product is highly reviewed. Maybe I just got the only defective one
