I have wanted to have more nutrient dense "raw foods" as snacks. Most you find in the store are so expensive and processed. So, I decided to finally go for it and buy a dehydrator. I shopped in the stores and they were all very plastic and the ones that were stainless steel were huge! Just a massive foot print for something Id like to keep on my kitchen counter. But this was perfect. She is so cute and only about a foot wide. I got the 7 shelf so I knew it would not be taller than the cabinets above it and it is just the right height.
Shipping was great. It arrived just when it said it would.
First thing we did was cut up pineapple and canteloupe. It dried in half the time I was expecting and it was perfect and delicious. The machine has a fan that works so well but is nearly silent. I love that it is metal racks and a stainless shell. Its quiet and small but still holds alot when you use all seven shelves.
I supplemented by getting some silicone trays to use when I am making something that starts off soggy. It came with a few of its own but I wanted to have enough for each tray. If you are concerned about using all seven racks and not having enough air flow...dont be. It fan works great! You just have to double check the size or that you can cut them to size yourself. I did that.
This machine was easy to clean and you just want to put that solid tray on the bottom to catch any messes or pieces of food that fall through. Just wipe clean and dishwash the racks. 10/10 would recommend.

I looked at many reviews from many sources before deciding on which dehydrator to purchase before settling on this one. My final two choices were the Cosori 6 tray and this Magic Mill 7 tray. I chose this one mainly because of the lower price than the Cosori, the extra tray and a smaller footprint. I love how quiet it is and although it looks small on the inside, it actually has a lot of space. I use it for decorating royal iced cookies and it works perfectly! It was super simple getting started and is not so big that it takes up a lot of space. I would definitely recommend this dehydrator!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT! Great Capacity, Easy to Use, Excellent Results..now what else can I dehydrate?

Love this dehydrator...this was a Christmas gift and sooo much better than the round plastic dehydrator I was used too. So far I’ve done about five batches including pineapples, apple, jerky basil, and dill herbs.
PROS
1. With 10 trays- 7 stainless steal, 2 solid "jelly pans" for fruit leather and plastic grate for smaller chucks-
this unit packs a lot in a great capacity. The trays are solidly made, are easy to slide in and out and
adjust for size quantities.
2. It takes up little counter space and is esthetic pleasing in stainless steel-which mean it can stay on the
counter and it will get used more, instead of going into the basement and forgotten about.
3. It's very quite for a dehydrator. The fan circulates the air more and dries the food more uniformly. I
don't find myself shifting trays around like I have with the cheap plastic versions.
4. The control panel is easy to use with the push of a button. It's nice to be able to adjust the temps
up/down as needed...including the fast and raw settings.
5. I'm new to dehydrating (been canning), but this is VERY user friendly, solidly built. I find myself looking
around to see what I dehydrate next.
CONS
1. I wish the cord was a little longer, I needed to strategically place it cause the cord is only a few feet
long.
I'm looking forward to making my own trail mix, more jerky and drying the herbs and mushrooms from our garden next summer!

I confess this was a purchase I hesitated on for quite a while as I wasn’t sure I would use it enough to make it worth the expense. I can honestly say I’ve used it more than I ever anticipated and I am so surprised by how much I truly love this little machine!
I keep it in our garage (on top of our clothes dryer) so we don’t have to listen to it run, however it’s not so loud that I wouldn’t be able to tolerate it running inside our home. Not at all.
I’ve not yet made any meat products with it though I inend to in the future. It’s not a large capacity model really ... IMHO, but for a small family it’s a nice size. I use it weekly at the very least and almost daily at times.
I’ve made all kinds of dried fruit and some dried spices. I’ve even used it to bring sodium silicate packages that I’ve used in pantry jars to keep my cooking dry goods fresh back to life.
I was drawn to this model as it’s BPA free and after its initial run to break it in I’ve not noticed anything but pleasant smells coming from this machine, and I have a very sensitive sense of smell.
I’ve saved so much produce that was getting “tired” that would otherwise have gone into the compost and made it into super delicious nutritious economical snacks.
I encourage you to be creative with the fruit / vegetables / meats you dry. I put all kinds of spices on mine before drying them and it turns them into something really special when finished. Something as simple as adding cinnamon and cardamom to thinly sliced apples for example makes a delightfully addictive snack. ??
The booklet that comes with the dehydrator has been helpful to me and it’s really a simple easy thing to operate. Fruits and vegetables vary widely by batch according to the thickness of the slice, natural variations in the pieces of produce etc. I do rotate the racks around in the order in which they’re stacked (during the drying process) to change up the air flow and make sure everything is drying evenly. It doesn’t require a lot of monitoring and I’ve found it’s quite forgiving as far a the amount of time needed for any particular item to be adequately dehydrated. Personal preference plays a large part here too.
I do use sodium silicate packs as I mentioned in a storage jars along with items I’ve dried if it’s something I really want to stay crisp ... Spiced banana slices for example. I like them to remain crispy; otherwise they stick in my teeth and I find it unpleasant. ??
I didn’t expect to dry herbs in this but I have and it does a wonderful job. I’m just really pleased with the simplicity and ease of use of this machine and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a smaller capacity model for home use. Now that I have it, I can’t imagine managing my kitchen without it. It’s made that big of a difference in our diets and the saving of food that’s aging faster than we consume them.
I’m very happy I decided to purchase this model. It’s not such a gigantic investment and I like the ease of being able to regulate the size of the dehydrator simply by selecting the number of racks I fill. I’d recommend purchasing a larger capacity model if you need to produce pounds and pounds of dried goods, but for a small family I think it’s just ideal.

This is used by a couple YouTubers I follow so I ordered this model. It works very well, easy to use, and not too big on my work counter. Quiet and effective. I did order extra plastic mesh screens so I had enough for all the shelves. Screen shelves included are sturdy and the plastic screens that come with it are good quality just not enough. It does come with solid plastic sheet trays so they do provide something for each shelf.. you could use parchment paper if you didn't want to purchase extra mesh screens I just like to have the extra. Recommend.

I aabsolutely LOVE this dehydrator. I have dehydrated bananas, strawberries apples, sweet potatoes etc and I've only had it a month. I've dehydrated like 20 pounds of bananas! We are them all already lol.
PROS
1.This has 10 trays which is ideal bc when you cut stuff up it takes a lot of room and it is always best to do as much as you can in one batch. I try to buy in bulk to reduce the price too if I can. With this large capacity I only have to do like 2 rounds vs something like 6 or 8 with te smaller units that only come with a few trays. Those come with more trays you can purchase but they often have a hole in the center- these dont! These are excellent for saving space and for any thing of any size.
2. It is quite for a dehydrator esp one this size imo. I hate noise and I'm very happy.
3. Cleaning is easy and although I've not had anything drip yet I dont think it would be an issue. There is nothing that can get ruined that I see. It's all just plastic which is fantastic. I've cleaned up crumbs very quickly with a damp paper towel.
4. It comes with nice accessories some you dont see often. It comes with 2 jelly pan trays, I think 2 meah trays, and 1 rack for skewered items plus skewers. You can skewer things like meat, fruit, whatever. Whole strawberries might be cool.
5. I like the temp and time settings. You can adjust the temp by I think 5 or 10 degrees ( not sure). On the time I dont recall but I think it was my min. I found it very nice.
6. Easy settings. You can press like 2 buttons to have it run on low or high. I usually run on high but I did find if I run it on low for a very long time with bananas I can get a caramel flavor- but the flavor goes away after a few days.
7. I got mine at a lower price so it was well worth the lower price for this unit. I cant wait to make lemon zest etc. You can dry mushrooms and all sorts of stuff. If you have a garden or grow herbs you will love this.
8. Great for proofing breads. It has a wide temp range so you can use it to proof breads and keep chocolate garnish and all sorts of stuff.
9. If you watch BA - Bon Appetit you will see Claire uses a dehydrator all the time. You would like this one imo.
10. Great for; baking needs like crisping up crisp cookies like fortune cookies and other crisp things;biscotti Italian style; proofing; zest; herbs; food saving; emergency food storage; seed harvesting and seed saving; arts and crafts- but you wouldnt want to use the same one for arts and crafts that you as do with foods- no cross contamination.
11. It is light weight given its size and is easier to hold onto them I thought t would be since there are no handles visible. It is 'easy' to pick it up under the front under the closed door and under the back of the machine. When you put it down you do NOT have to worry about any fingers getting pinched bc of the smart way they designed it- yeaaaa! Thank you.
12. Seems like it is well built and looks like it will last a long time. If anything changes I will let you know.
CONS
1. The cord might be too short for some people. It is only a few feet long I think.
2. The only con for most people would be the price. The normal retail price is to high for me. Again I got mine used- but it was new in box.(really lucky). Currently they are out of stock but I bet that is bc of COVID
_________ over all I love this dehydrator and I have dehydrated 8 extra large sweet potatoes (dont dry them too long or cut to thin - if you do they become like chewing on knives), ~ pint strawberries, ~ 20 pounds bananas and 1 apple. I dried most on high.
Oh the machine can run 24 hours and then it needs only 2 hours off before it can be turned back on again! That is fast!

Ok, I like this dehydrator for the most part.
Pro: its large. It fits a lot of food. It works as I would expect. I've dehydrated citrus, cherry tomatoes, herbs, cooked beans, left over salsa, and tons of garden products. This, freezing and canning are my primary ways to store the garden harvest. The trays are great. I'm very happy with then. I like how much can fit. It does not heat up my kitchen, either. The auto shut off/ timer is great.
Cons: my main complaint is the temperature adjustment. You can select from a series of preset temps... but they arent even. Its numbers like 109 or 141F. While I make it work it is an annoyance. I'd rather them go up in specific degree increments but it's not a deal breaker. I wont take points off, though. It still works.
It is LARGE. It takes up my counter space front to back with maybe an inch to spare. It fits - but takes up a good bit of space. When I'm not using it I do store it above my fridge. The bulk is more than I expected but again, it does tons of food at once. So, if you're dehydrating a lot then youd want a larger size. If you're not look for a smaller unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great capacity, easy to use, consistent temp, super quiet fan

I read many independent product reviews which indicated the 10 tray unit was the best value. I also read many of the 1-star reviews. Figured I would go for it. Like any electronic devices, it will more than likely work like a champ or, less likely, fail miserably from the get go.
I have had the unit running non-stop for over a week now making raisins. Nothing but praise for this dehydrator. Great capacity. I was able to put something like 15 lbs of grapes in. Definitely needed the fine mesh silicone material because the shelf grate spacing is pretty big. Heating top to bottom is fairly even. The bottom 3 or 4 shelves get less warm. From left to right the units heats more on the right half due to the rotation direction of the fan. No surprise as it is a glorified hair dryer. This was no big deal as I just rotated the shelf periodically 180 degrees to get more even work done. I haven't instrumented with a thermometer to test heating consistancy but it seems to be very stable otherwise I would have severely baked grapes. So temperature control is good.
The biggest surpirses were the temperature setting resolution and how dang quiet the fan is . The manual seemed to indicate that this would jump by 5 degree intervals. Nope - 1 degree resolution. The 48 hour timer is nice. You can increase the run time whenever you want, adding or subtracting time as needed. Same with the temperature. And like I previously mentioned, been running non-stop for over a week at 120F.
The unit's outer case is injection molded plastic which was initially a concern but I have the unit on a metal cabinet in the garage just in case. The heat exhausted from the unit is keeping the garage pleasantly warm. I imagine operating inside would warm the house nicely. The outer case does get warmer toward the top front where the controls are which, as an electrical engineer, concerns me but it isn't so hot that you can't touch it. Shelves slide in and out easily which suprised me as the interior seems to be fabricated from a plastic as well. So far I haven't noticed any deformation of the interior as shelves continue to slide well. The door is rubs a little on the bottom because the molding wasn't trimmed quite enough. No big deal.
When you first operate the unit, you would be wise to heed the instructions and run for at least 1/2 hour to burn out the incidental oils left on the fan motor and heater from the manufacturing process. It is no big deal. It does smell but folks, it is not out of the ordinary. I ran mine for over an hour at 165 until the odor dissapated enough for me to be confident I wasn't going to get vaporized oil on my grapes.
Overall, so far, worth the money. I've made almost 10 lbs of raisins. Looking forward to making apple and banana chips. Fingers crossed the unit continues to operate as well.

I use my dehydrator for a variety of purposes, and the range of temperatures, plus the oven-like design really make it very versatile. I use it for drying fruit, herbs, and for making jars of infused herbal oils. I love that I can take out the lower shelves to place jars of herbal oils on the bottom and yet can still dry other herbs on the shelves above, allowing me to get "double-duty' out of my dehydrator and make use of the electricity when it's running. I only wish the temperature variances were in increments of 5 degrees instead of 10. Otherwise, it's perfect.

This is perfect. doesn't make any noise for my husband to complain about. I can do twice more foods and its easy to work with. I'm just tired of buying veggies and they go bad before I can use them. Dehydrating them helps to keep them fresh and I don't waste money because I had to through them out. now I can keep them in a jar until I'm ready to use them.
