5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing and creative cooking

I love this tool. I've been making several dishes with apples and the results are great. I cannot wait to use it with veggies too.
It is a great addition if you already have a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer, otherwise it would be a useless gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously fun to use, amazed at how well it works!

I bought this to try to get a few more vegetables and fruits into our lives in a creative way. Just kidding I really just bought it to see if it would work. And it really does!!

I pulled it out and my fiance was like what heck did you buy now. So within a few minutes I had this thing going and zipped through 4 pretty decent sized zucchinis to make sheets for zucchini lasagna. Then I moved on to all the apples we had in the household. The two of us were just laughing our fool heads off watching it. I told him you guys have dinner I'm just going to do this all night.

But seriously it works like a charm. The instructions are pretty good and just took a few minutes to master. The sheet cutter holds about 4-4.5 inch veggies, so about half a decent sized zucchini and then it makes literally the perfect lasagna noodles.

It does leave some core behind. After I threw them away I thought dang I could have saved those to make zucchini bread if I had ground them up.

I took the apples and put them in a little casserole with some butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Great for a quick little desert but it looks neat so I could see doing that then putting them in a pretty tart pan for an elegant desert.

I left my zucchini noodles on a rack in the refrigerator overnight to remove some of the water and they did dry out pretty nicely, otherwise they stay pretty wet then when you bake it makes a big soupy mess. You can dry them in the oven too.

We spent the whole rest of dinner trying to figure out things we could run through the sheet cutter...I'm going to try apples, pears, potatoes and maybe a firm nectarine. FUN!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It!

Ok. I am no chef but for me, this is cool. From Amazon order date, the system claimed ship date was 1-2 months, and in actuality it took about 1.5 weeks so that was great. It comes with the housing and 2 blades, thick and thin, the skewer and two ends for holding fruit/vegetable. The box it comes with will be the permanent storage box when not in use.

Setup was simple and easy to use as this is my first ever attachment for the Kitchenaid mixer. The wife and kids just use this to mix batter to make cakes/cookies.

Being a carbohydrate challenged person (Diabetic T2), I really wanted to make a lasagna. This device, with a medium sized Zuchinni allows me to make it easily.

Yes, it's relatively expensive for what you can slice with it but I found an unexpected plus. My 2 kids just had braces put on in August and the whole concept of biting into apples with braces was not as easy for them.. Well, with the vegetable slicer, they were eating through apples slices with this device! So, this will make life easier for the next year or 2 for the kids and the price justifies itself for me.

The slices with the thick cut blade, for me in my first Zucchini lasagna (last night) was perfect. The slices held up perfectly and the wife wanted more layers. As I said, we sliced apples and with the thin blade, the sheets are like 4-5 feet with a jumbo honey crisp apple.

It is very well built and I expect it to last a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zucchini loving minimalist chooses veggie sheet cutter over spiralizer.

I love zucchini lasagna. I also loathe the entire process of slicing, drying, salting, and drying zucchini "noodles" again, especially when some "noodles" are unevenly sized and a little thin. So I mean it when I say that this vegetable sheet cutter is amazing.
I've spent years baking and cooking without a KitchenAid, mostly because it's seem like an amazing kitchen tool that's not totally necessary. But this year I've spoiled myself, and I followed that reward up with weeks of obsessively researching this attachment and the KitchenAid spiralizer, telling myself I can only really afford one or the other. Wrapped with anxiety (and some economical guilt) I purchased this veggie sheet cutter, crossing my fingers that I hadn't just ruined my life and would ultimately regret not buying the spiralizer.
I'm happy to report that I have no regrets, and though my wallet's a little lighter, I'm spending way less time standing over zucchini with paper towels and salt. I found the attachment really easy to setup and use, but I also watched Lisa from Downshiftology setup a million a times prior.
Both the thin and normal blades have performed awesome, making perfect sheets out of every fruit and vegetable I've thrown their way. Though I'll primarily use this for lasagna, it's also great for replacing tortillas with apple sheets for turkey wraps, and I've become that person in the grocery store that stands over the organic carrots in order to find only the best one for making sheets.
Someday I'll purchase the serializer as well, but in the meantime I'll be find purchasing zucchini, carrot, and sweet potato noodles from the Fresh Market and Trader Joe's.

5.0 out of 5 stars It does work as advertised and buy the refurbed unit

I bought the Used-Very Good unit as it came with the Noodle Blade for the same price as the new unit. This unit was well above Used-Very Good, in fact it was a KitchenAid Factory Refurb. The only way I could tell was the box was stickered as such. The unit looked new and the 3 blades all had the factory film still on the clear plastic parts. No sign that the unit had ever been used. We looked at the booklet and the YouTubes and started using the unit. It cuts nice even sheets quickly. Once finished cleanup is easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't beat Kitchen-Aid Quality and Ease of use
Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2023

Absolutely love this vegetable sheet cutter. Like all Kitchen-Aid attachments, easy peasy to use, and cleanup is a breeze. Made some sweet potato sheets right out of the box (literally), and from those crafted a great vegetarian lasagna, all in minutes.

Note: the vegetable holder tined piece, broke much to my dismay and I had one other issue. I phoned Kitchen-Aid (since my Amazon return window had closed). They determined it was a functional issue and immediately and cheerfully arranged to have an entire sheet cutter replacement sent out today, with a very simple return process for my non-functioning one. Outstanding customer service!

My Kitchen-aid stand mixer is nearly 25 years old and still works like a dream with several days a week heavy use. It is great to deal with a company who still stands behind their products and for whom customer satisfaction is paramount.

5.0 out of 5 stars The answer to a celiac and keto persons prayer
Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2023

I absolutely love this I have celiac and I try to eat keto. The low-carb tortillas have wheat, the gluten-free Cartitas are high in carbs. I have made enchiladas and lasagna with zucchini. I’ve also done dishes with strips of sweet potato. And not to mention the homemade long strip potato chips. My little granddaughter is at the picky stage. She loves beyond words peanut butter, and apple sandwich I put strips of apple in the cinnamon rolls with caramel. Man were they a hit at the Oregon State football party. My other granddaughter was over because she wasn’t feeling good. We soak the potato in ice, water, osmosis, and she saw the potato starch at the bottom. She was very impressed. Anyone with special dietary needs I would strongly recommend this. I just wish I had the noodle cutter.

I eat a whole food plant-based diet. So, this product comes in handy because I can make sweet potato sheets for a meatless lasagna and apple & peanut butter rollups. I use this attachment nearly everyday.
