More stick then suction but I pulled and repositioned several times to get it where I liked it while driving. It is attached to a textured dash. Needs to be a flat surface but not necessarily a smooth surface. One edge was pulling up when I attached it to a curved part of the dash. Takes a lot of effort to pull it loose to reposition it.
Just below the lever on the rubber part is a small tab to grab hold of to peel loose from the mounting surface. Slow steady pressure seemed to work the best.

I need a reliable phone mount for navigating trails out in the rocky desert and I was very hesitant when I purchased this mount, however my fears were alleviated this week when I tried it out in the Jeep in Sedona. The suction mount is large, sticky and durable. The adjustable arm makes the position super customizable. The device that actually holds the phone is what makes me nervous. Ideally I'd like to screw it tight, but the squeeze arms have held up great so far.
