I normally use vacuum seal bags, but they require use of a machine, they’re one time use, and they’re very expensive. I bought these for short term storage and I was expecting them to be very similar to disposable zip bags, but they’re so much better. Out of the box you can feel a difference in quality with the thickness of
the plastic and the strength of the zipper. They actually keep refrigerated foods as fresh as vacuum bags for a bit longer than disposable bags. Cleaning was easier than expected and they don’t retain any smells. It feels great to know that I’m eliminating waste.

So far this is the second kind of reusable sandwich bags I have bought, the other one is like a snap case. They both works really well and I don't have preference to one or the other. This one is made with silicone and feel very thick and sturdy. The material itself is very easy to clean and doesn't stain very easily. The only think to remember is silicone trap odors so don't leave food spoiled inside the bag otherwise it will smell even though the bag is clean... I learned it the hard way. Pack of 6 for 9.99 is a good deal to help the environment.
