I have this mounted on an 8' work bench where I used to have a regular indoor 6 outlet power strip which was always loose and wobbly. Even though I would not have all of the outlets in use at the same time, it does help to extend the reach of the cord by about another four feet. The cord is a standard length of 6 feet, it
would be nice to have a couple more feet since I only have one outlet on the wall in my garage. One thing I like about it, is that you have a choice of how you want to mount it to the surface. You can hard mount it with screws into the surface of wherever you are going to mount it, or you can mount two brackets instead and the power strip will snap into place and you can remove or relocate it whenever you want, but you would have to buy more clips to go that route. I used the clips because there was no way to screw it to the surface where I wanted to mount it.

Great for home office
Excellent product! I used this for my office disk (mounted below the desk). It allowed for improved cord access and less clutter and the spaces between the plugs were far enough apart to plug in larger ac plugs. The only downside is the provided mounts easily scratch the metal body of the surge protector so be careful when mounting it
