My 2 year old somehow removed and hid the battery cover of my controller, so I had been keeping the batteries in place with tape. Decided to try this out when it was on sale during a lightning deal, and can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
I like that the entire pack includes the cover, which solves my lost cover issue. Frankly if I still had the cover

I would probably have opted for regular rechargeable batteries, so this was perfect. The base is designed to hold a controller, but since I only have one, I found that I can position the extra pack on the terminals and it will charge on it's own. It's not the most secure of setups as the pack will fall off if the base is jostled, but it also charges pretty quickly so it's a minor issue. This allows me to use one pack while the other is charging, and swap them out as needed. I also felt like I was going through AA batteries pretty quickly, so being able to re-use batteries has been nice. I do wish the capacities were a little larger as I find I'm having to swap packs every few nights (2-3 hours of gaming per night), but for the price point and lost cover solution, this was money well spent.
