My wife got a new car a few years ago and I grew to really appreciate the backup camera on it. My truck is a older crew cab with a canopy so the rearview mirror is a bit on the worthless side. When I saw this camera on Amazon, I decided it was worth a risk at the price. The camera arrived quickly, and included the wiring
harness (plenty long enough for a crew cab long box, the harness was about 30' long). I contacted the seller

about the free monitor offer and promptly received a quick reply, stating they would be happy to send the monitor, and did the camera work well? When I told them I wouldn't be able to test the camera with no monitor, they sent me the free monitor promptly, asking only that I write a review when I had it up and working.
It took a few hours to install the system. A hardwire camera is more work to install, but with as long a vehicle as I have, wireless didn't seem to be a good option. The instructions included with the unit are not ideal, but are plenty for someone with a little experience in wiring to decipher. I mounted the camera on the rear bumper over the license plate (check the photo, the provided bracket actually sits behind the license plate and mounts using the same screws that hold the plate on), ran the wire forward and taped the power at the reverse light lead of my trailer wiring. In the cab, I found a ground and wired up the other end of the harness to the monitor in a temporary location. I will likely end up moving it before I am done, but wanted to test it out. I started the truck and shifted into reverse. The monitor popped on and I had a clear view out the back! Just that easy!
I am pleased with the clarity of the picture, I imagine that if I get a new in dash touch screen stereo, and wire the camera to that the picture will only get better, but the picture quality on the free monitor is great as it stands. All in all, WELL worth the money spent! The seller has great customer service, and was very responsive to my emails. Thanks much!
