Took cats a couple days to get used to this, but now they love it. It’s easy to clean. Glad I spent a lil more for this one that has a detachable base. I can’t imagine how annoying it would have been to have to continuously unplug some of the other ones out there on the market every time I want to fill or clean. Totally

Quiet, minimalist fountain
I had purchased two other PetKit products--the mini automatic feeder and the gen 2 water fountain--both of which I liked, so I decided to try this out. Like those other products, this water fountain is designed in a very clean and minimalist style. It is especially appropriate for those people who want cat products that fit in with a certain contemporary aesthetic in their homes without screaming "cat product."
Gen 3 of this product has some great improvements over the previous product. For one the water vessel and plate is stainless steel, so it is more sanitary and easier to clean. They also got rid of the small, removable foam filter in front of the motor. This, along with the reduction and simplification of other fountain parts, reduces the amount of residue build up. The water vessel also connects to the electronic base in a simpler way with less room for error. The fountain is also incredibly quite--I don't notice it running.
Overall it's a great improvement over the last product and is highly recommended.
