A required step was to scan the bar code to sync with app and I wasted time scanning the sample code in the instructions until I realized the bar code was under the device itself (my bad). Instructions also said I needed to have the device right next to the router for wireless setup. I thought that since I had a good signal strength in this one room that it wouldn't matter, so I tried setting it up there and it kept failing to connect over and over again. I finally brought the device right next to the router and it connected instantly (deep sigh). I've tested it thoughout the house and it works flawlessly. I've had a conversation with my wife through this device while I'm at work. This security camera offers so much and I believe it to be a great purchase and I highly recommend it. The only bad thing I can think of is that it pans slowly when scanning the view, other than that, I love it.
